Introduction

The world is entering a period of profound transformation driven by the simultaneous impact of globalization, digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and the rapid advancement of new technologies. These changes are not only reshaping production, business, and management practices but also imposing new demands on higher education systems—a sector that plays a pivotal role in human resource development, knowledge advancement, and the fostering of innovation.

Globalization is entering a new phase characterized by the expansion of cross-border networks in production, trade, research, and education. Universities are increasingly competing beyond national borders and participating in global education and knowledge ecosystems. Students can pursue studies across multiple countries, curricula can be co-designed by various universities, and research is conducted through international networks, while global enterprises are becoming increasingly involved in training and skills development.

Against this backdrop, AI is driving a fundamental shift in higher education. Higher education cannot simply stop at updating a few courses or adopting new technological tools. Current changes necessitate a comprehensive re-examination of curricula, teaching methods, assessment strategies, faculty development, research activities, industry-academia partnerships, and university governance models. This issue extends beyond national boundaries, requiring academic exchange, the sharing of experiences, and international cooperation.

Against this backdrop, the National Economics University is organizing an international conference themed... "Higher Education in the Era of Globalization, Artificial Intelligence and Automation" .

We cordially invite researchers and professionals in fields such as economics, business, and related disciplines to contribute to the conference by presenting papers, engaging in discussions, and participating in thematic sessions. The conference welcomes original research papers that have not been previously published elsewhere. We invite researchers and practitioners to submit their work.
